Happy New Year
Well it's been a little while, the crazy Christmas season is over and it's on to boredom for the next couple of months.
So I'll catch ya'll up on what's happened.
The Sunday before Thanksgiving we got to tour Bryant Denny Stadium, both kids belong to Big Al's Kids club and they have special events throughout the year. Sandie was a little suprised at how "short" 10 yards really was. We meet up with our neighbors Johnny and Kim with their 2 kids John James and Kelly, we had a great time.
Thanksgiving everybody came over to the house, we fried a couple of turkeys and had way too much food, but it was all good.
The first Saturday in December we made a quick trip to Atlanta to the SEC Championship game, drove over and back. Everything was good but the outcome of the game, maybe next year.
I pretty much lived at the store from Thanksgiving to Chritsmas, busy time of the year for us.
We spent Christmas Eve at My moms with Billy, Deb and Will. Opened our "1" present that Mom swore that's all she was buying this year... yeah right!!
Christmas Morning was wild at our house, the kids got way too much from Santa. Riley's big gift was an electric razor scooter and Kacie got a big girl bike.
New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl
WOW! we did it all!!
We all packed for cold weather...but it turned out to be 75 sunny and muggy!!!
We walked Borbon Street and Riley got on Rodger's shoulders and got a T-sirt from a girl in a thong, drank a Hurricane (virgin style), picked up beads off the street and even TT on the street!!! We rode in a horse (named Pumpkin) and buggy around the French Quarter, rode on a Trolly, ate at the Gumbo Shop, had a charicature of Riley done, ate beignets at Cafe Du Monde, went to the French market, dodged the rain, went to the aquarium, and Velema even got sick on the street! So we really did experience pretty much all New Orleans has to offer!
Sorry, I am not writing much about the ball game...not much to write about!
